What Sizes and Colours Are Available?

If you’ve decided to purchase new barriers for your business, the first step is to finalise their colour and size. There are four standard widths. These are 0.7m, 1m, 1.4m and 2m, which can either be in round or square profile steel. Our Café Barriers have a standard height of 940mm.

We can also produce barriers in custom sizes, including higher versions that can stand up to 1.5m. Our barriers come standard in satin black powder coat, as well as other custom powder coat colour options, which are available upon request.

Inserts are made from either heavy-duty vinyl or high-quality acrylic fabric for a more premium look. The vinyl and acrylic styles also come in a large range of colours and can be printed with your logo. We will explore the ins and outs of our printing process in more detail below!

What are the Café Barriers Made of?

Our café wind barriers and inserts feature durable black powdercoating, high-quality steel, UV stable PVC vinyl, and can be purchased in a wide range of different colours. This includes black, red, grey, yellow, green, and many more. In addition, various other custom colours can be arranged to match your business branding, logos, and imprints.

What Footing Options Are Available?

How Do I Ensure My Barriers are Stable?

Whether you operate in a busy city street, a shopping centre, or a laneway, it’s very important to keep your barriers stable and secure. Our café barriers can stand alone or be joined together. There are single and double feet available as well as inground base options for maximum security. 

As for umbrellas, wind can be an issue so our café barriers can be held in place with our optional 10kg weight bags. This also allows for greater flexibility in terms of positioning.

Do You Repair/Refurbish Older Barrier Frames?

Yes, we can refurbish our barrier frames with new inserts. In some cases, this can be a great way to preserve your existing set-up and extend the lifespan of current café barriers. Torn or damaged inserts are easily replaced saving the need to replace the whole unit. We can also replace inserts on other supplier’s frames. Simply give us a call to discuss.

Do I Need a Permit to Have Café Barriers on the Footpath?

In most cases, the answer to this is yes. Many local councils will require you to have a trading permit that allows the use of café barriers and umbrellas on the footpath.

Fees and other requirements will often change slightly from council to council. In the City of Yarra, for example, a footpath trading permit is required for

Can I Print My Logo on Café Barriers?

Absolutely. Your logo and brand imprint can be added to one or both sides. Café barriers, of course, are an effective way to communicate your brand. This includes creating greater recognition of your business, making the dining area comfortable, and capturing the eye of passers by.
